The rental fee of $170 per night is complete and includes all taxes, we ask you to please clean the unit.

Bear Lodge is located above the main ski lodge at Mt Washington.

To get here travel north from Victoria approximately 200 KM on Highway 1A to the turn off to Mt. Washington Ski resort. Follow the 16 KM road to the very top, past the main lodge parking to the parking lot above. See the map

Bear lodge is the 1st complex on your right hand side.

Bear Lodge is brand new and completed construction in August of 2005.

Building Access:
To access the building: You have 3 keys. Key # 1 opens the main building door, as well as all exterior doors of the building, including the parkade pedestrian door. To access the parkade, enter thru the pedestrian door and three pillars inside on your left, you will find a button to open the overhead vehicle door. Drive into the parkade and find your parking spot, located just past the main entrance doors on your right side.

Key #2 will open the storage locker immediately behind your parking stall. Here you must store your skis / snowboards and all boots and toboggans or outdoor toys as they are not allowed upstairs. PLEASE make sure the storage locker is closed and locked at all times, ESPECIALLY upon your departure.

Proceed thru the entrance doors to the elevator and rise to level 3. turn left in hallway to end of hall and you will find our condo on your right side.

Key #3 opens both the main unit door, as well as the Unit A door inside, which accesses the 2 bedroom unit.

What you need:
You need to bring all food and beverages you will require during your stay. There is some staple items in the unit and you are free to use. If there is anything you wish to use, please help yourself, however please do replace any items used.

Unit Amenities
Unit A is a 2 bedroom, NON-SMOKING unit, with full kitchen, including all cooking tools and dishes, dining table, living room and bathroom with shower. In the entrance hallway you will find the washer / dryer and a storage closet with the laundry soap. In the closets inside the unit, you will find the broom, vacuum and first aid kit. The cleaning supplies are located above the stove.

The heat is electric, with the exception of the living room gas fireplace. All heat is controlled by room thermostats. You will find all adjustments set at 10C, please feel free to adjust to a comfortable level and return to 10C upon departure.

You will find all blinds to the unit closed. Please open and enjoy the view, please return to closed upon departure.

Towels are found in the washroom, please use and clean them as you need. Please clean all towels and return them to bathroom upon departure.

The living room couch pulls out for an additional double bed. There is a TV with cable and a DVD player for your enjoyment. You will also find many kids toys, books and DVD’s for your use.

Extra KEYS and extra parking pass: located inside unit entrance way. The parking pass can be used for a second vehicle. The second vehicle places the parking pass on dash and parks in an stall that does not have a number on its door. If there is no unnumbered stalls available , please park outside and pay fee.

Note: We have a few flashlights and candles in the unit incase of a power outage. Flashlights& matches above stove. Candles under bathroom sink and in phone cabinet drawer.
If you have a few extra flashlights you might want to bring them just incase. The fire place runs on propane and should keep you warm.

Please feel free to use and enjoy items in our condo. Please make sure the unit is locked at all times when you are not there.

Suite Cleanup and care:
Please plan for cleanup at least 2 hours before departure:

Before you leave……
1) Please clean the unit and leave it like you found it. Thanx
2) Cleaning supplies found above stove and in entrance storage closet
3) Please wash bedding and towels and replace for the next guests
4) Take out all garbage and recycling (Bins located in parkade)
5) Please close blinds and windows
6) Reduce all heat to 10 degrees
7) Shut off lights
Please leave extra KEYS along with # 304 parking pass in the front entrance.
9) Please inform us of any damages or problems during your stay

Building Amenities:
Within the Bear Lodge complex, there is a hot tub for guest use. It is located on the 1st floor, one floor above the parkade entrance. Hours of operation are 10 am to 10 pm. Please feel free to use the hot tub. There are washrooms and showers adjacent to the hot tub area, please shower before using the tub.

There is a Care Taker couple residing in the building. If you have any concerns regarding the safety or security of the building, please address them with the caretaker. The caretakers live in the first unit, on floor #1 to the right of the lobby staircase.

Communications:
There is no telephone in the unit. We recommend cell phone access. There is a phone on the side table of the couch and it will ring when a visitor uses the security PA system at the front door. To open the front door using the phone, pick up the phone, talk to the guest, and enter 9 on the phone. This will access the front / main lobby door for 15 seconds.

Ready to go Outside: Mountain Amenities.
If just heading outside, proceed to level P and exit from the main doors. If wanting to access your skis first, you may proceed to the parkade, grab your equipment from the storage unit, and proceed to the single exit door to your far left, the opposite of the car access gate. Once outside, you can put on your skis and ski to the chair lift or lodge.

In the evenings, there is a restaurant and lounge open in the main lodge. There is a Tube park open most nights, for Inner tubing at a nominal cost.

There is a convenience store with most items, including a Liquor store. There is a small collection of DVD rentals.

There is a cross country lodge, Raven Lodge, located approximately 2 km down the mountain from the main downhill ski lodge. Along the road to Raven Lodge is access to Strathcona Provincial park for hiking and cross country skiing.

Leaving Bear Lodge:
Please make sure the hallway door is secure upon your departure.

You may exit the parkade by using the access buttons located on the inside pillar of the parkade. The door will close behind you.

Please return keys to Kevin and Nadine as quickly as possible after your return home.
