Bear Lodge Mt Washington

Why not stay at the top of the line Bear Lodge Mt Washington located right on the mountain and looking up the ski hill?

OK, not all units look up the ski hill, only half. But who cares because the other half looks directly down the Strathcona valley, and oh what a view as the sun goes down.

Skiers ski from 0900 till 1530 in the winter months and that leaves plenty of time for some apres ski and activities into the evening.

Got kids, awesome, finish your dinner (you can eat on the mountain, couple of good restaurants including Fat Teddies Mt Washington The Main Land best try before 5 pm) then head over to the Ozone park for a bit of tubing.

I would say bring your toboggans, however there is a no sledding or tobogganing policy on all of Mt Washington, nothing we can do about that.

Bear Lodge Mount Washington was built in 2005 and with 59 units to accommodate you, I recommend you book early during the winter months.

Now some unit owners rent their units privately and some rent their units through the rental pool. I recommend you try them both, as you might find beter deals.

Bear Lodge has 59 units. It is a full condo / hotel type building built right on the mountain side of Mt Washington Ski Resort.

Bear Lodge Mt Washington Resort has drive in, underground parking and “ski in, ski out” facilities right from the parkade door.

With good security and full time caretakers, Mt Washington, Bear lodge is the accommodation of choice on the mountain.

did we mention the hot tub? 103 degrees, ready to sooth your muscles and relax you at the end of every day.

Mt Washington boasts over 400 accommodations however on weekends in the winter, you definitely want to make a reservation. The mountain fills up fast.

There is hotel type rooms in the premier accommodation buildings such as Bear Lodge and Deer Lodge. These apartment type suites offer 1, 2 and 3 bedroom possibilities.

Bear Lodge is the newest facility, being built in 2005 and Deer Lodge was completed in 1996

Both these buildings are situated on the mountain and offer views of either the skiers coming down the slopes or the beautiful Strathcona valley below.

Both facilities offer underground parking (Bear Lodge will fit the newest F350 Diesel trucks) and walk out entrance skiing. You ski right back to the condo door at end of day.

Not to be confused with the Mt Washington of NH, Mt Washington BC is located on Vancouver island, British Columbia. There is often as much as 6 meters of snowfall (18 feet) anually and for the first time ever, in June of 2010 they opened skiing for Fathers day weekend.
