Stay At Mt Washington, Relax In Nature
If you are coming to Mt Washington BC ski resort you want to stay here. Mt Washington is approximately 30 kms up the mountain (road is paved but always snowy) and so it is quite nice to relax in one of the many hotels or chalets available on the mountain.
Mt Washington boasts over 400 accommodations however on weekends in the winter, you definitely want to make a reservation. The mountain fills up fast.
There is hotel type rooms in the premier accommodation buildings such as Bear Lodge and Deer Lodge. These apartment type suites offer 1, 2 and 3 bedroom possibilities.
Bear Lodge is the newest facility, being built in 2005 and Deer Lodge was completed in 1996
Both these buildings are situated on the mountain and offer views of either the skiers coming down the slopes or the beautiful Strathcona valley below.
Both facilities offer underground parking (Bear Lodge will fit the newest F350 Diesel trucks) and walk out entrance skiing. You ski right back to the condo door at end of day.
Not to be confused with the Mt Washington of NH, Mt Washington BC is located on Vancouver island, British Columbia. There is often as much as 6 meters of snowfall (18 feet) anually and for the first time ever, in June of 2010 they opened skiing for Fathers day weekend.
